This article will be extremely useful in my paper because it will show how misinformation and tragic news stories require journalists and citizens to obtain the quality of their ethics for respect of the life loss and family’s loss. Abstract from Author: In the  new   media  era, attention has become a scarce resource. Tragic events can quickly arouse the attention of the audience. Believe it or not?

Technological advancement in today's world has brought us to social media and relying on it for many things like connecting with family and friends, being invited to events, and catching up on the latest news stories. One of the biggest things as consumers we need to look for now is the news that is being shared with us and whether it is factual or fiction. With technology at our fingertips and society becoming a part of the news stories, it is sometimes difficult to figure out what is the real news and what is the fake news. What are we supposed to believe that is being shared?  "As more ways of interacting with and consuming information emerge, more opportunities are created to present it in a different context and display altogether new viewpoints. In isolation, these new voices and inaccurate viewpoints might not reach many people, however, in a digital environment where content can be shared quickly and easily, misinformative articles can rapidly find their way to the scr...

With Instagram and Facebook becoming popular among Millenial's, Gen Z's, and now also Boomers, businesses have changed their strategy with how they are going to market and promote their products. With technological advancement in mass media, it has changed the marketing and branding game for businesses. "T he sole purpose of Instagram is no longer sharing photos alone; there’s much more to it. People can promote their brand here, buy and sell things, share fundraising posts for social causes, explore opportunities for earning money, develop intriguing content, and become famous" (Atebits, 2021). Not only has social media changed the way we are branding our products it has also changed the way in which we are branding ourselves.  Facebook and Instagram have become key players in advancing marketing, branding, and advertising ideas. With technology advancing and social media being top players this has completely changed the advertising world we live in and where it will...

What is Patience?

Image
We always heard from our parents to have more patience when growing up. Patience is key. Patience will make you grow. With emerging technology and expectations of instant gratification, we are starting to lose our patience as a society. " Technology seems to be conditioning us to expect everything to happen without any delay. People expect not only information now. They also expect the actual products and services now, too.  The demand for instant results is seeping into every corner of our lives. Smartphones eliminate the wait for an Uber ride home, a date, or a table at a restaurant. Movies and TV shows begin streaming in seconds" (Mcgivern, 2020).  With technological advancement, it has changed our society and culture, and the fact that we no longer have to wait for things. Amazon has been the largest example of this. In a few clicks, we can order grocery needs, clothes, and decorations and only have to wait two days to receive our items. There are concerns with this need ...

Social Media For Business

Image
Any business owner nowadays will have some sort of social media to promote their business. It is free advertising and marketing that can easily reach millions of users. You can also build and connect with your audience through stories, comments, and sharing posts. " The future of social media is bright and it’s the perfect place to build conversations with clients and customers so they feel connected to the business. Many companies also answer customer queries through their social accounts and deal with complaints on here. This gives brands the opportunity to project a positive image by showing they care about their consumers, which can help attract more customers and drive more sales.  This is also the perfect place for brands to communicate and collaborate with other brands" (LSBF Staff, 2020). How Zoom Has Changed Communication

Image
Virtual communication has been the key to business success since the pandemic first emerged in the world. There have been many companies such as Zoom, Skype, and Microsoft Teams that have now been a major part of all of our lives in the workplace. We are still able to receive that face-to-face contact that we had in the office but at a distance. "From the beginning of Zoom we were asking, ‘how do we make the virtual experience as good, if not better, as in-person,’” he says. For example, during an in-person meeting, it’s really not possible for multiple people to use a whiteboard at the same time, he says. Zoom’s iteration of what it’s calling its persistent whiteboard will make it easy to share and collaborate in real-time" (Caminiti, 2021). Zoom has allowed companies and their employees to stay connected to one another and collaborate effectively. By new technology like this, it gives companies the opportunity for their employees to still be connected to one another but als...

Technology and Training

Image
Technology has become a key part of workplace trainings involving webinars and online courses for employees. Virtual trainings have become increasingly popular amongst companies around the world. " Education in the workplace can be training-centered or be designed to help employees stay competitive in their field by rounding out their skills. Either way, in 2021, employers are leaning toward virtual training options to keep their companies on track. As many companies grapple with hybrid workforces, or even continue to work remotely, a company’s decision to make education and training available online should be the new normal" (Hyder, 2021). With more companies becoming a part of the remote life, having online training for new employees as well as current employees, does not limit the education for their employees.  Technology has enhanced trainings within the workplace because companies are now able to personalize employee trainings. Trainings no longer need to be a one siz...
